Ali Şen was born on December 26, 1918 in Adana. He earned his living by working as a carpenter. The master artist, who both worked in the factory and worked as a carpenter, first appeared on the stage in Adana Community Center in 1954 and played his first role.

He became one of the unforgettable memories with his roles as the headman in the movie "Snakes' Bogey" in 1962 and Hacı Fettah in the movies "Knock it off" in 1964.
He died as a result of a cerebral hemorrhage on 15 December 1989 and was buried in Zincirlikuyu Cemetery after the funeral prayer performed in Teşvikiye Mosque.
